We live in a world where hating people is the most relatable..
And loving people is rare and strange.
We live in a world where we are right..
And they are wrong.
There’s no seeking to understand.
There’s no two truths.
There’s no middle ground.
There’s no compassion.
We live in a world where loneliness is the sickness and sex is the solution.
We live in a world where rage is the culprit and it’s never our fault.
We live in a world where we are blind to God’s good and seek comfort in Satan’s illusion.
We live in a world where communication is a lost art and anger is the default response.
We live in a world where we blame and accuse others and are quick to justify our wrongs.
We live in a world where we talk about the law of attraction but never about the law of giving.
We live in a world where it’s always about “me” and never about “you.”
We live in a broken world.
I had recently gone through a season of bitterness.
For all the wrongs I see in the world, in my life, and in myself.
It took awhile to process my bitterness and this poem is the outcome.
In the completion of it, it has renewed my strength to keep loving.
To love without reason.
To love unconditionally.
To love with kindness and patience.
I thank God for showing me the greatest example of what it means to love.
With that being said, let’s bring a new truth into our lives.
“I hate people” is now such a common phrase guised as humor.
And I believe the words we speak is truth.
Let’s change that.
Let’s make “I love people” truth.
Let’s make it relevant.
Let’s make it relatable.
Let love live.
